Veterinary Surgery Safety

Your pet’s safety is always our priority, and we take many steps to keep them comfortable and stable during their procedure. Before their surgery, a full physical exam and pre-surgical testing are performed to help us check for any health issues that could cause complications. If we detect any signs of illness in your pet, we will postpone their surgery and focus on treating them first.

We also require your pet to be up-to-date on their core vaccinations before their surgery. During surgery, your pet will receive IV fluids and medications as needed, along with a heated water blanket to maintain their body temperature (which we will check every 20 minutes). An experienced technician will always be standing by to monitor your pet’s pulse, heart rate, and blood pressure, and will stay by their side until they awaken from anesthesia.
