Dr. Templeton grew up in Connecticut surrounded by a variety of animals, including family dogs, cats, and livestock such as pigs, chickens, and Dexter cattle. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Connecticut before working as an engineer for several years. Afterward, Dr. Templeton pursued her own farm business back in Connecticut. Her deep passion for both science and animals ultimately led her to veterinary medicine, and she graduated from the University College Dublin Veterinary Medicine program in 2023.
Dr. Templeton has a special interest in behavior medicine and emergency care, areas where she is committed to making a positive impact on animal well-being. She is Fear Free Certified and an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (IVECCS).
When not working, Dr. Templeton enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, baking, weightlifting, and exploring nature with her Australian Shepherd, Luna
